Depending on the foot presentation footwear advise is often part of proper chiropodial management. Often patient is also advised on daily foot care and proper shoes. Routine foot care involves ongoing monitoring for any foot changes that could lead to increased risk of any potential foot problems like muscoskeletal injury, skin breakdown, infections etc. Usually patient is seen every 6 to 8 weeks for routine foot care. Routine foot care is especially important for patients with Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis, poor circulation, poor sensation (neuropathy), poor vision, thick-difficult to treat toenails, recurrent corns and calluses. | | | | Diabetic foot care.
